Excellent restaurant, excellent service, very friendly.

Unfortunately we are very disappointed ..... a lady of ours had a pasta dish ... where the edge of the plate was just covered with noodles, only noodles with some rocket and cherry tomatoes, without meat for 14.90 euros ... a lady , we think it was the boss; asked briefly at the end whether we would have been satisfied, we criticized this, which the lady / boss was not particularly interested in ... very poor handling of criticism ... then you better not ask at all! Somebody else of us had a salad plate; which wasn't very cheap either; carelessly arranged ... a pile of lettuce in the middle ... underneath !!! Slightly different salad ... not even tomatoes ... all not recommended

Very friendly and courteous service. The ambience is very appealing. The food was very good. The Gründerschnitzel Anno 1650 with onion mustard crust and bacon beans was excellent. The gaucho spit was also a dream. The pigsty (3 little pigs in the potato enclosure) was also "Saulecker"! The only drawback was that one of the two sauces tasted a bit like spice ketchup. All in all a very nice evening in a very nice restaurant with very good food.

We were there yesterday October 4th, 2020 with ten people and a toddler for a good 2 hours. The staff was very friendly and fun We set up the high chair for the child in a child-friendly manner and also responded to the child's wishes The food was served quickly and hot so that all 10 people could dine together The portions were generous and were neither spongy nor spicy The different cooking points of the steaks ordered were optimally achieved Can highly recommend the house and were definitely not there for the last time. We wish the company and its employees all the best that it survives the CORONZEIT without any problems and is always as well attended as it was on the evening of our visit.

Eaten excellent as always. Kudos to the kitchen. The service was also attentive and courteous. Come back anytime.

Top service, the kitchen is excellent, very cozy here, price-performance ratio is right here. If you are around here, a must to stop here. Provided you want to eat very tasty. I can recommend without reservation.

Excellent quality of the food. Super nice, friendly and attentive service staff Hygiene regulations optimally implemented and adhered to. Everything is perfect all round, I'll be back. Will definitely recommend it !!!!!!!

My girlfriend and I just went to eat here and we are really excited. The staff is really professional, especially the somewhat rebellious waiter who always has a "stupid" saying on his lips. We felt really good. My friend had the Käsespätzle for dinner and I had the Wilhelminian style schnitzel "anno 1650". The schnitzel is by far the best I've ever eaten. All in all we were very satisfied, will be happy to come back and can only recommend everyone to stop by here (:

We have been in the Sauerland for a few years now and have tried a lot ... Only one thing we noticed was that we were always warm first in this restaurant Are welcome and, secondly, just as happy to enter this again and again! Reason: You are welcomed in a friendly way, the food is made with love and the price / performance ratio is also right ..... what more could you want ❣️ We can and would like to recommend it to everyone else 💖 and wish you one Enjoy your meal !!

We've had dinner at the post office twice. Except for the cordon bleu, which was a bit dry, all the other dishes were excellent. The grilled pork medallions on the spit were perfect and the pepper sauce just as it should be. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Again any time.

Delicious traditional food in a traditional German atmosphere. We thought it was an experience. Highly recommended! Even if you have to make a detour for it;)

Food is perfect, I had grilled beef with cafe de Paris sauce, atmosphere was nice, friendly staffs, recommend the chocolateduvet. 4 out 5 stars cause the waiting time was very long, 30 mins at least.

Nice and cozy restaurant ,the foods is good, but have to wait long time ...I think because too much peoples likes here, if you don’t do reservations you don’t have places I am sure! Also you can have a drink here after 8:30pm

The food is great, but I have a bit of a complaint about service... As a solo-diner on a business trip I would have wanted at least a smile, and a recommendation for what was good, but got none of either. That said, bring a book if you're alone and enjoy the food!

Very, very nice restaurant with very good-humored staff who all know exactly what they are doing. The food was portioned just right and very, very tasty. We would love to come back on our next vacation ...

Food was ok. They have a huge wine card, unfortunately they don't have all the wines on it... carpaccio was served on a warm plate..? the main course was ok. Portions more than enough. Price was higher then most restaurants in the near environment but mainly because of the drinks.

Nice Gasthoff, especially the garden in the back on a Nice Sunny day! Food was good! very german but thats what we wanted. Nice portions. Only negative point is little slow service. But the waitress was kind.
